Dentistry is an equally challenging and rewarding profession, and that balance is what draws me to it every day. I know that for many people, coming to the dentist can feel overwhelming. Whether someone is dealing with pain or has spent years feeling self-conscious about their smile, there’s often a barrier that keeps them from seeking care. If I can help ease that fear and create a space where patients feel comfortable reaching out, then I have the opportunity to truly change lives. That’s something I don’t take lightly.

Moments like seeing the relief on a patient’s face when their pain is gone, or the joy that comes with finally loving their smile, are incredibly meaningful to me. They serve as a constant reminder of why I chose this profession. It’s also what motivates me to keep growing through continuing education, learning new techniques, and embracing modern technology so I can provide care that is not only effective, but also compassionate and patient centered.

My Education and Experience

I was born into a military family and spent much of my early life moving between rural towns in North and South Carolina before my family eventually settled in Camden, NC. That experience shaped my appreciation for small communities and inspired my desire to serve others in a meaningful way. I went on to attend North Carolina State University, where I earned degrees in Biochemistry and Human Biology. Before dental school, I spent two years working at a children’s hospital, an experience that deepened my passion for patient care and connection. I later earned my Doctor of Dental Medicine from the East Carolina University School of Dental Medicine and am proud to now serve patients throughout Carteret County and beyond.

I am committed to continuing education and actively participate in study groups in Morehead City and New Bern. Staying current with advancements in dentistry allows me to provide more efficient, conservative treatments and create a more comfortable experience for my patients, with long-term success always in mind.

Outside the Office

I’m grateful to share life with my partner, Elsa, and look forward to the future we’re building together. We have a Boykin Spaniel named Piper, who joined us when my parents moved overseas and quickly became part of the family. Elsa and I love to travel whenever we can, and we’re always planning our next adventure. I enjoy diving, hiking, and just about any outdoor activity, and when it’s time to slow down, you’ll usually find me with a good book. I’m always open to travel recommendations, so feel free to share your favorites!

I feel incredibly fortunate to do what I do and to serve this community. My goal is to continue providing care that makes a lasting difference for years to come.
